Following the retirement of our caretaker we have a vacancy with immediate effect
Caretaker Vacancy (Part – time)
Hours: Up to 15 hours per week (negotiable)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
The successful applicant must be flexible and conscientious, with a ‘can – do’ attitude and understanding of the needs of church members and the general public. They will work within a small core team, supported by church volunteers.
Main Duties
General caretaking duties within the church buildings
Manage an ongoing maintenance schedule, carrying out minor repairs and supervising contractors
Monitor, record and report on Health & Safety matters
Set up furniture as necessary for services, concerts and other events
Monitor the building to ensure it is clean and tidy
Monitor the heating system and set its weekly controls
Provide access to the buildings for room hirers and others
Monitor and replenish stock of cleaning and other consumables
DBS check will be required of the successful applicant
