A small group from the church and local community has been meeting to discuss the possibility of starting a Repair Café in Jesmond, and we plan to run a trial event on the afternoon of Saturday, 16 March 2024, in the Hall at JURC.  We are looking for volunteers to give of their time and skills to offer residents the chance to mend/repair/upcycle household items that would otherwise be thrown away.  If you have skills that could be useful (clocks; book binding; carpentry; jewellery; toys; clothes; etc), please get in touch with us at [email protected]
