The eldership of Jesmond United Reformed Church complies with its obligations under General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data. Health and Safety Policy. As a church we understand that we owe a duty of care to ensure the safety of those who visit or use our church, buildings or grounds. We also know that, where we are an employer or control premises in certain circumstances, we have to meet the requirements of health and safety law. As such, we have drafted this policy to meet our duty under Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. A link to the policy is below:
